This cigar goes from zero to 60 in… well about 25 minutes if you enjoy this cigar properly. The even taper from the foot introduces a little filler at a time until you reach its center at a whopping 61 ring gauge. But don’t worry; the even taper back down towards the cap continues to change the already complex flavor. It maintains a creamy core throughout, giving quick hints of flavors like cooking spices, almonds, earth, coffee, cocoa and even citrus. You won’t taste these all at once, but rather a touch of something in a puff here, and a hint of another in a puff there.

This nice short little smoke starts with a light spiciness, and quickly opens to a medium body introducing more smoke and consequently more body. It ultimately ends up medium to full, with the spicy characteristic becoming more dominant. It’s balanced by a slightly creamy texture.

The cigar starts toasty and medium bodied and quickly opens up to its full stride of a medium bodied, rich smoke with notes of toffee, café con leche, and a cedary note. It also provides a long smooth finish that builds as wonderfully as the smoke’s flavor.

A relative newcomer to The Griffin’s assortment, it really brings out the toasty, creamy flavors that make The Griffin’s so popular. There are notes of sweet wood, and a touch of spice at the first puff which dissipates once you hit the middle.

This is not your typical perfecto. The manufacturer took a few liberties with the shape, however it is still considered a perfecto, and it’s a seriously full-bodied perfecto with a solid core of rich heavy earth notes, leather, espresso and a charry finish.

This limited edition smoke is full-bodied but elegant offering obvious flavors of earth and spice along with subtle flavors that range from anise to roasted nuts. Its extreme taper from start to mid-point really drives the flavor home straight to the end.
