FATHER'S DAY
On Monday June 8, 85 people descended onto lower Manhattan for an "Evening of the Good Life" at Bayard's on Hanover Square. Great wines, food, and of course Davidoff Cigars were had by all, including the 2009 Davidoff Limited Edition "Toro Especial". Though the cigars will not be available for another couple months, it was a treat to enjoy these beautiful smokes and hear about them from none other than our Master Blender, Mr. Hendrik "Henke" Kelner himself. We were also fortunate to have photographer extraordinaire Darryl Nitke on hand to document every moment of the evening. Check out my blog for photos and more on the Evening of the Good Life.
Now, down to business. Father's Day is here. So, what do you buy the guy who has everything? That's where we come in. Of course Dad SAYS he doesn't mind using the coffee can in the back yard to ash is Double Corona... and maybe it's true, he doesn't. But I assure you, that when Dad's friends come over, he'd certainly prefer to offer them an appropriate ashtray. Whether simple porcelain, more elegant crystal or the incredible exotic wood finishes, a great cigar deserves a proper ashtray to rest in when not being enjoyed.
