First things first, I just returned from a week in the Dominican Republic for our National Sales Meeting. Despite the fact that there wasn't a free moment during the week, I can report back that there is some very exciting stuff in the works for this year!

I smoked the upcoming and delicious 2009
AVO Limited Edition Compañeros (
click here for the final availability of the 2008 AVO Limited Edition Tesoro) as well as the new
Davidoff Puro d'Oro, a new line of Dominican Puros using a wrapper that is exclusive to our company, and is just amazing.
I also had a chance to meet up with Manuel Quesada (
Fonseca,
Cubita, etc…) to talk about the upcoming
ProCigar Festival next month. The festival begins in beautiful La Romana for some golf and a tour of the great Tabacalera de Garcia factory. We'll be hosting our group beginning in Santiago with a Great welcome party ONLY for our group at Rancho Camp David on Tuesday February 17, 2009 (transportation will be provided from the airport to the hotel).

Each morning will include a great Dominican Breakfast (you haven't lived until you've had a Dominican Breakfast). Lunch will be served each afternoon during the tours. Each evening will feature an amazing party… including an exclusive fiesta at the "Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration" The hotel is the least expensive of all the "official hotels" of the trip. With meals, three drinks per day, the welcome party, internet, etc, and ALL of the greatest cigars you can smoke… all included, it should cost about $65 per night for a single room and about $75 per night for a double room. This trip is NOT to be missed… Please register NOW and indicate "Davidoff NY" as your retailer to be sure you are put on the CAMP DAVID list! The ticket is $750 per person. Airfare is the responsibility of the attendee as well.
