This year’s limited edition is a gem. It’s an exaggerated Robusto with great aged tobaccos, some as old as 12 years in the filler. It’s full bodied, but with a balanced medium strength. We’re at the end of the run on these great cigars, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

In 2007 we released our first Limited Edition Zino Platinum Crown Series cigars. Available in 3 packs of either Chubby Especial or Double Grande, these Nicaraguan-wrapped beauties now have some additional age that are bringing out all the elegant nuances of these cigars. In 2008 we released our second Limited Edition with a special Ecuadorian wrapper. Available in 3 packs of Chubby Especial or Barrel, they’re rich and full-bodied with a great complex finish that lingers long after the smoke is exhaled. The Annual AVO Limited Edition is always a favorite among our customers. The 2008 Tesoro is a rich yet creamy cigar with a smooth finish and hints of toast and almonds. It’s absolutely fabulous and will soon be replaced by the 2009. There are also very limited quantities of the AVO 80 (2006) as well as the AVO LE-07 (2007) available. We’ve just received in our annual shipment of God of Fire Cigars, manufactured by the Fuente family for Prometheus. This includes, the annual God of Fire cigars, the special Fuente Fuente OPUS X 22 Collection, The Fuente Fuente Opus X Forbidden X Toro Collection, The new 2008 “Journey Collection” which includes 2 Opus X, 1 Forbidden X and 1 Don Carlos Edicion de Aniversario.

Romeo y Julieta Museum edition. The edition includes a beautiful humidor containing 36 cigars; each cigar packed in its own tube with a small print from famed artist Charles Fazzino. On the inside lid of each humidor, there’s a Limited Edition 3-D Giclee print, hand assembled specifically for this precious collection of only 2000 pieces.

The Augusto Reyes City Edition is a collection of Dominican Puros combining tobaccos of Habano Vuelata Arriba, Olor Dominciano, and Criollo 98 filler; Olor Dominicano binder; and Criollo 98 Dominican wrapper. Each format commemorates a different city of the world: Chicago (6 x 50 Torpedo), St. Petersburg (5 x 40 Lonsdale), Los Angeles (6 x 58 Gordo), Miami (6 1/2 x 54 Belicoso), New York (7 x 48 Churchill), Madrid (6 x 46 Toro), Kiev (5 1/2 x 42 Corona), Las Vegas (7 x 50 Presidente) and Mosco (5 x 50 Robusto). The cigars are presented in black, 24-count wood boxes each featuring an original hand-painted artwork collage on the lid capturing scenes and sights unique to each city.

Don Jose “Pepin” Garcia has become a “rock star” in the cigar business making some of the most sought after, in-demand cigars of the past 2 years. We’ve had wonderful success selling his “Don Pepin” line of cigars, the 601 brand, as well as the boutique, cult favorite – Tatuaje. Now, we’re pleased to also carry some of his newest creations: My Father, Mi Barrio, and Cubao. In addition, our Columbus Circle store has the remaining inventories of his Centurion line; his first limited edition cigar hailing from 2007.

This year, we hosted a group to the First ProCigar Festival in the Dominican Republic. It turned out to be an amazing success, and next year we'll be hosting a group again! Our Group will be staying together at Rancho Camp David in Santiago. We've once again booked the entire mountaintop get-a-way exclusively for the Davidoff New York group.

Next year there are a few changes. Most noticeably each guest will be able to make his or her own schedule and attend the tours that are of interest, or take some time off just to relax. Of course every evening will feature incredible fiestas of great food and amazing performances.

At the last festival, one of the auction items was in cooperation with Cigar Aficionado and the New York Big Smoke. The winner, David "The Doc" Diaz of StogieFresh.com was the winning bidder on 2 tickets to the big smoke as well as the opportunity to host a party at our Madison Avenue store on the night before.
