Thanksgiving - a time for giving thanks. A time to be with family, friends and loved ones- to reflect on the many blessings that life has brought you. It’s also a wonderful time of eating great food, drinking great wines, and smoking great cigars afterwards! Unless you have a cigar friendly room in your house (or a cigar friendly wife in your house), chances are you’ll enjoy your Turkey Day stogie outside - not a bad place to enjoy a cigar by the way - but, given the slowly dropping temperatures, you may have to choose your post-turkey-‘gar with a little more discretion for time and the elements.
Remember to bring some extra cigars to share and safe travels!!!
Happy Thanksgiving,

If you’re going to be enjoying Thanksgiving in Los Angeles, Scottsdale, or Miami then opting for the most appropriate after dinner cigar is simple, since you should have a pretty ideal afternoon. Large formats and big flavor are the best way to follow up and recover from a big meal. The Davidoff Double ‘R’ is a classic Double Corona that starts rather medium and builds to be quite full bodied and complex. The Davidoff Millennium Blend Churchill is slightly smaller, but is blended much fuller bodied with darker earthier flavors and a nice spiciness.

If you’re celebrating in Boulder, DC, or Omaha, a jacket and perhaps a scarf may be advisable - as well as some brown liquor and a slightly shorter smoke. The AVO Domaine 10 is a full-bodied Robusto that smokes with an underlying creaminess unique to such a full cigar.

The Griffin’s Perfecto is slightly mellower, however the Perfecto shape allows the cigar to change throughout the smoke making it an engaging cigar to enjoy and pay some attention to.

If Thanksgiving brings you to Portsmouth, Buffalo, or Sioux Falls… well, you might want to discuss with your family the potential of a Thanksgiving retreat to Bermuda next year… but, nevertheless if you’d like to bundle up and enjoy a fine cigar in the crisp November air, short and sweet is really what you need. The Fonseca Vintage Petit Belicoso is a small little Torpedo that’s wonderfully mild with a silky smoke and mellow flavors.

If you feel like something bolder, opt for the Fonseca Don Antero Belicoso Fino. It’s a small little Torpedo, bodied and leathery with a cedary finish, made exclusively for Davidoff’s New York stores.
