It seems like forever ago, when we could walk into any civilized place, sit like civilized people and enjoy a cigar after a great meal. Now, in any major city in the world, there are only a handful of places that allow such a thing to take place. Over the last 4 years or so, we’ve gone out of our way to create unique opportunities to enjoy a cigar. The next couple months are filled with these opportunities.
On Monday, May 7, Rocky Patel will be in the Columbus Circle store hosting tastings and promotions, followed by further celebrations at the Carnegie Club in the evening.
On Tuesday, May 8, Rocky will be across town at the Madison Avenue store during the day followed an always popular In Store dinner that evening prepared by Rothmann’s Steakhouse. Great appetizers followed by a bone-in Rib steak and dessert paired with great wine and Rocky Patel cigars is the perfect way to spend a Tuesday evening. Tickets will be $150 per person and must be purchased in advance as seating is limited.
On Monday May 14, Davidoff’s Raymond Scheurer, a long time friend of Zino Davidoff, will be on hand in the Columbus Circle store. Aside from Scheurer’s role on Davidoff’s board, he serves as an ambassador for the brand, traveling around the world sharing the philosophy of Davidoff with those who enjoy life’s finer things.
On Tuesday May 15, Mr. Scheurer will be in the Madison Avenue store during the day, followed by a very special dinner in the evening. Besides celebrating life, we’ll also be launching two brand new Davidoff cigars. More details to follow.
There will be some other exciting launches and events later in the spring and into the summer in some new venues in New York. As details are available, we’ll be sure to let you know.

The Davidoff Travel humidor is the perfect way to bring cigars along with you wherever you go. The humidors are available in 3 sizes and several finishes in both leather and wood. Of most important note, Davidoff travel humidors are manufactured with the same key components as our desk top models. The interior is a non-porous, non-aromatic wood. This ensures that the integrity of the blend is maintained as the blender intended without introducing foreign flavors such as cedar, and also eliminates any maintenance of the wood, often required by cedar-lined humidors. Further, the Davidoff humidification system is a self-regulating system that, when filled with the appropriate amount of distilled water, maintains an even humidity level and requires refilling about every 4 weeks.
