SPRING NEWSLETTER
Spring is here! That means days are getting longer and so too should your cigars. Nothing beats sitting outside on a beautiful spring day and enjoying a cigar watching the world go past - ESPECIALLY in New York City!

Although you still may not have the time for a full Churchill or Double Corona, you might want 10 minutes more than your winter lunch break Robusto. That means it’s time for a Toro. The Toro format falls into place between a Robusto and a Churchill. It is typically a thicker ring gauge (48+) and around 6” long. The extra length allows the cigar to change and develop a little more, and the thicker ring gauge offers a little more tobacco in the blend and ensures a cooler, richer smoke. Many manufacturers are producing this “in between” size. Here are some favorites.

DAVIDOFF ANIVERSARIO NO. 3
Now available both in and out of a tube, this fantastic cigar is blended to smoke the way our trophy Double <<R>> does in less time. Beginning very medium, it quickly progresses into a full-bodied yet incredibly balanced cigar that can be enjoyed in less than an hour.

THE GRIFFIN’S FUERTE TORO
The Griffin’s tends to be equated as a mild stick. And the classic line is indeed quite mellow. However, the Fuerte line delivers a little more body with more aggressive flavors without being “in your face”. It’s still quite smooth and pleasant.

LA PERFECTA CAMEROON TORO
La Perfecta is a relatively small boutique brand manufactured in the Dominican Republic in the famed MATASA factory (makers of Fonseca, Cubita, etc…). The Cameroon blend uses an African Cameroon wrapper for a medium bodied spicy smoke with hints of wood and roasted nuts.
